As a Technical Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding operations through advanced consequence modelling and safety studies, working within a collaborative team that values continuous learning and professional growth. Required Skills:
Proven experience in consequence modelling using tools such as PHAST and FLARESIM; knowledge of CFD is a plus
Strong capability in Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), fire and explosion risk assessment
Understanding of fire water systems and associated safety mechanisms
Expertise in leading safety studies including TRM, HAZID, Bowtie analysis, and ALARP demonstrations
Ability to develop barrier diagrams and contribute to Safety Case documentation
Experience engaging with regulators and compliance with UK Oil & Gas legislation
Proficient in managing technical safety studies involving external contractors
Preferred
Education and Experience:
Degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline
Several years of hands-on experience in technical safety within the Oil & Gas sector, particularly offshore environments
Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations such as OSDR/SCR, PFEER, DSEAR, DCR, PSR, and PSSR
