ALittle More About Your Role
We are looking to recruit a Transport Planner or an Assistant Transport Planner to join our Transport and Travel Planning team in Norwich. In this role you will be based in the heart of the vibrant and historic city of Norwich, working in partnership with Norwich County Council.
As a key member of the team in Norwich you will have the opportunity to support a wide range of transport and travel planning projects from inception through to completion, in the area of transport strategies, analytics, feasibility studies, and transport network performance assessments.
Responsibilities- Contributing to a variety of projects and proposals (both technical and commercial inputs), and supporting delivery of high quality outputs in line with client requirements.
- Supporting the delivery of our portfolio of projects with a focus on active travel, interventions assessment and strategy development.
- Playing a supporting role in securing and delivering work for our diverse local client portfolio.
- Working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team; working with our other WSP service lines to support projects from concept to delivery.
- Contributing to the financial performance of your projects and the commercial performance of our team.
- Making an active contribution to WSP's four key pillars (People; Clients & Growth; Operations; and Expertise).
- Experience with the area of Transport and Travel Planning.
- Experience in data analysis and report writing.
- Proven ability in event planning and monitoring outputs.
- Project management skills, including workload prioritisation and delivery against deadlines.
- Experience of software packages such as Junction 10 and LinSIG.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office packages; experience in GIS tools would be advantageous.
- Working as part of a team, ability to work collaboratively and solutions‑刚 driven.
