Location: Acorn Park School, Banham, Norwich, NR16 2HU

Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to £42,000.00 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

Start: March 2026

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering purposeful and engaging learning for pupils with diverse and complex needs. Working within a Semi-Formal Curriculum pathway, you will support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, helping them build communication skills, confidence and greater independence in a structured and nurturing environment. This maternity cover position focuses on supporting our Year 3 Semi-Formal cohort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned to the Semi-Formal curriculum
  • Develop tailored learning resources that meet pupils’ individual needs and EHCP outcomes
  • Create a structured, stimulating classroom environment that promotes engagement and independence
  • Monitor progress and wellbeing, adapting provision to ensure meaningful outcomes
  • Build positive, professional relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, consistent provision
  • Contribute to the development of effective practice for pupils with autism and complex needs
About You
  • GCSE C/4 or above in English and Maths
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), or working towards
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of SEN, including ASC and complex learning needs
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils through patience, empathy and consistency
