We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Site Engineer to join a high-profile highways and surfacing project based in Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a solid background in civil engineering, specifically in surveying and highways works.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee the technical aspects of highways and surfacing works on-site.

· Carry out surveying duties and ensure all measurements are accurate and compliant with project specifications.

· Monitor and manage construction activities to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.

· Liaise with subcontractors, site managers, and the client to ensure smooth project progression.

· Provide technical support and guidance to the site team.

· Assist in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and site reports.

· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Requirements:

· Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways and surfacing projects.

· Strong surveying experience with proficiency in setting out and site measurement.

· Ability to work independently and effectively manage time on-site.

· Knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and regulations.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with both site and office teams.

· Hold a valid CSCS card (preferably).

· Freelance (CIS or LTD) payment options available.

Payment:

· Competitive daily rate, dependant based on experience.
