Senior Quantity Surveyor – £24m Distribution Centre, Norwich

Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 + excellent benefits package
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team for a £24m distribution centre project in Norwich. You will take a key role in managing the commercial aspects of this high-profile, complex construction project, working alongside a Tier One contractor and multiple stakeholders.
Our client is a construction delivery partner working directly with major developers, occupiers, retailers, and logistics businesses. They specialise in delivering projects from concept to completion, including new-builds, fit-outs, expansions, renovations, and reconfigurations, primarily in industrial, logistics, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, data centres, and ports, with occasional exposure to commercial, retail, hotel, and education projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial management from pre-construction to final account
Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments
Prepare cost projections for labour, plant, materials, and resources
Conduct TRM meetings and coordinate with operations teams
Deliver forecasts and reports alongside the Estimating and QS teams
Ensure compliance with contract terms and capture design variations
Mentor and support junior QS personnel
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field
Strong commercial and technical knowledge in industrial / commercial construction
Proven experience delivering projects of similar scale and complexity
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
