£15,594 per annum (pro rata of £25,990)

Part time – 21 hours pw

Fixed term to 31 March 2027

Are you organised, detail‑focused and motivated by ensuring high‑quality safeguarding practice? Do you enjoy supporting projects, managing information, and helping colleagues deliver at their best? If so, we would love to hear from you.

Join the Diocese of Norwich as our Safeguarding Audit Project Assistant playing a vital role in preparing the Diocese, Cathedral and parishes for the national INEQE Safeguarding Audit taking place in January 2027.

  • Assisting in collating evidence demonstrating compliance with National Safeguarding Standards.
  • Additionally, entering pre‑audit data into the INEQE system.
  • Helping identify evidence gaps and supporting colleagues to address them.
  • Supporting the scheduling of the INEQE audit/inspection.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure attendance during audit activities.
  • Furthermore, distributing questionnaires to service users and stakeholders.
  • Supporting completion of the 360 degree report.
  • Providing practical support to auditors during the on‑site visit.
  • Supporting Audit Working Group meetings and taking accurate minutes.
  • Helping prepare progress updates and contributing to the post‑audit Action Plan.

  • Experience inputting data for external audits.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Experience keeping accurate meeting records.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and partners.
  • Ability to collate and input information from multiple sources.
  • Commitment to safeguarding.
  • Calm, professional and adaptable.
  • Supportive of the aims of the Church of England.
  • Experience in audit or practice‑review projects
  • Understanding of Church of England structures.
  • Driving licence and access to a car.
