Help shape learning experiences and support people to thrive at NSFT We're looking for a proactive, people-focused Staff Development Coordinator to help plan, run, and continuously improve our organisational development and learning offers - ensuring every programme is well-organised, inclusive, and impactful. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating engaging learning activities, supporting facilitators, and creating a smooth experience for participants across both face-to-face and virtual environments.
About this role As theStaff Development Coordinator, you'll provide high-quality coordination and administrative support across organisational development (OD) and learning programmes, from scheduling and logistics to materials, records, and day-of delivery support. You'll also occasionally support our leadership development and corporate induction activity alongside the Leadership & Induction Coordinator; helping to welcome new starters and set them up for success.
This role is designed as adevelopment pathway into more senior OD and leadership posts, with opportunities to learn about programme design, facilitation, evaluation, and stakeholder engagement in a supportive team.
What we're looking for
- Coordinate OD and learning programmes: plan schedules, book venues and virtual sessions, prepare joining instructions, and ensure resources and equipment are in place.
- Support live delivery: attend sessions as needed, welcome participants, provide practical assistance, and help facilitators run smooth, engaging events (including basic IT/virtual support).
- Keep accurate records: maintain attendance, completion, and evaluation data; update agreed systems and produce basic reports and summaries when required.
- Leadership & induction support: assist with bookings, materials, participant communications, and be a welcoming first point of contact for new starters; help with IT set-up where needed.
- Stakeholder communication: liaise clearly and professionally with facilitators, participants, and internal colleagues; promote a positive, inclusive, values-led approach in all interactions.
- Continuous improvement: gather and collate feedback, suggest practical enhancements to processes, and contribute to service improvement projects across the team.
- Reliable admin and governance: create, store, and manage documentation and learning records in line with Trust policy and information governance requirements.

Person Specification Qualifications- Diploma / equivalent secretarial experience, advanced level NVQ 3 Business Admin or equivalent experience NVQ 2 Customer Service or equivalent experience
- Experience of working in large organisation education/ training environment.
- Completing multiple tasks within changing deadlines and time frames
- Planning, organisation and evaluation of Training, Development and Education
- Using Trust's eProcurement system
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a wide range of stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- excellent problem-solving skills, paying attention to detail, work innovatively
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Maintaining administrative systems
- Knowledge of NHS policy/procedures
