Rogers and Norton Solicitors are seeking a part-time Legal Accounts Administrator to join our friendly and supportive accounts team.

The role is based Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 2:00pm, although we can offer flexibility in working hours for the right candidate.

The Role The Successful applicant will play a key role in supporting the firm’s legal account’s function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day legal cashiering duties, including client and office ledger entries, processing receipts and payments, and reconciling accounts in compliance with SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Supporting the posting and monitoring of bills, expenses, and disbursements.
  • Producing periodic financial reports, supporting bank reconciliations, and assisting with audits and compliance reviews.
  • Working closely with fee-earning teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality.
  • Providing general administrative support across the firm as required.
Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience working within a law firm or similar environment, carrying out legal cashiering or legal accounts duties.
  • Strong familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office (willingness to learn new systems is essential).
  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working within a small team.
  • Proactive, with the ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Knowledge of the SRA Account Rules would be an advantage.
