Financial Accountant

NXTGEN are working with a growing organisation in Norwich to recruit a Financial Accountant on a 15-month fixed-term contract
, with a strong chance of becoming permanent.
Financial Accountant role created to support financial accounting during key growth.

Financial Accountant role will sit within a technically strong finance team and focus on statutory reporting, group consolidation and IFRS-based accounting across multiple entities. As a Financial Accountant
, you will ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting, support the production of the annual report and contribute to finance projects as the business scales. The role suits a first move from practice into industry or strong exposure in complex accounting.

• Preparation of monthly and statutory financial statements for multiple subsidiary entities in line with IFRS
• Supporting the production of consolidated group accounts within tight reporting deadlines
• Delivering the annual report and year-end statutory process
• Reviewing cash flow forecasts and supporting cash management activities
• Supporting lease accounting requirements under IFRS 16
• Preparation and review of VAT returns and supporting tax computations alongside the wider Tax team
• Assisting with investor and stakeholder reporting at quarter, half-year and year-end
• Contributing to ad‑hoc financial accounting projects as the business continues to grow

The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent), experience gained within a reputable accountancy practice highly desirable. Comfortable working within a technically focused role, able to communicate with stakeholders and confident working to deadlines. Working knowledge of IFRS preferred, particularly IFRS 16. Strong Excel skills and a commercially minded approach to analysing financial data are essential.
