Position Overview
Sullivan Tire, an employee‑owned company, is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team in Norwell, MA. The AP Administrator Specialist is responsible for accounts payable functions for the company, including processing invoices, preparing payments, reconciling vendor statements, and calculating monthly accruals. The position supports the accounting department and assists with accurate and timely financial reporting, requiring strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability to work with numbers, generate reports, and reconcile discrepancies in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities- Maintain organization of invoices and vendor statements.
- Create complex Excel spreadsheets to assist with reconciliations and general ledger uploads to the accounts payable module.
- Match invoices to statements and verify accuracy to purchase orders, pricing, payment terms, customer rebills, and other charges to prepare payments.
- Reconcile multiple high‑volume EDI accounts.
- Ensure expenses are recorded to the proper cost center and accounting period.
- Ensure inventory and receiving procedures are adhered to – perform three‑way match.
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret financial data.
- Assume additional responsibilities and tasks as determined by the Department Manager.
Education/
Experience:
Associate degree or 5 years accounts payable experience and related technology (preferred).
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Excel.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Aptitude to navigate multiple software and accounting systems.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer‑service attitude.
- Familiarity with general accounting practices.
