Staff Nurse, Nurse Residency Program

Overview

The Nurse Residency Program is designed for new nurse graduates with less than one year experience. The purpose of this program is to assist with the transition into clinical practice. The nurse residency program will focus on the development of critical thinking skills, clinical leadership, and decision-making skills. Fisher-Titus is seeking recent graduates from an accredited nursing program to join our team.

• Building stronger clinical nursing leadership and critical thinking skills
• Courses and simulation experiences to deepen the Nurse’s knowledge of evidence-based nursing practice.

• Complete General Orientation
• Complete Clinical Nursing Orientation
• Enter the Nurse Residency Program
  • Required to attend a monthly 3-hour educational nurse residency program that includes didactic, hands-on, and mock scenario education
  • Nurse Educators will assign pre-work that the Nurse Resident must complete prior to coming to the educational event to enhance critical thinking
• 12 Month investment into continuing education provided by Provider Unit #285, by the Ohio Nurses Association, an Ohio Board of Nursing Approver. (OBN-001-91) for new nurses to earn Continuing Education
• Participation in the Clinical Ladder Program
• Become ACLS and PALS certified, if appropriate for position

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program before start of classes in (Feb 2026)
• Ohio Board of Nursing RN license by start of residency program (Feb 2026)
• Less than one year of experience as a registered nurse
• Basic Life Support certification
• Submit an application online /careers/nurse-residency-program/
• Classes for the 12-month residency program begin in February 2026. Nursing/Clinical orientation may be initiated prior to February.

Associates or better in Nursing.

• Certification ACLS

• Certification TNCC
