New Horizons Baking Company has been in operation since 1967. We produce ready to eat hamburger buns and English muffins for some of the most iconic brands. We currently serve over 2,000 quick service restaurants across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Western Pennsylvania as well as national retail and sandwich makers!

Benefits and CompensationSalary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 (BOE)
Schedule:
Standard 3 - 12 Hour shifts (5:30pm - 5:30am or 5:30am - 5:30pm)

This position is responsible for directing the activities of the personnel within the production and packaging areas in a manner consistent with Company policies and procedures; federal, state and local regulations that will ensure the most efficient and effective production of the highest quality bakery products, under the safest and most sanitary conditions possible.
Responsibilities- Supervise production line operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
- Train and Coach production line employees.
- Conduct employee performance reviews.
- Schedule and conduct shift meetings.
- Work with QA Dept. to ensure products are being made to customer specifications.
- Ensure compliance with SQF level code of practice and HACCP regulations and programs.
- Responsible for quality control. Adjust as necessary during the shift to producing products within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
- 3 – 5 years of Manufacturing experience, preferably in Food & Beverage
- 2 Years of Leadership experience, Preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with Unions
- Enforce Safety and Sanitation regulations.
- Keep records of employees’ attendance and hours worked.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Interpret specifications, job orders, company and union policies and procedure for team members.
- Lead shift meetings
