Position Summary
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, Area Managers serve as the point of contact and provide guidance to personnel. The position is based in Norwalk and surrounding areas, covering a 25-mile radius including Vermillion, Huron, Sandusky, Clyde, and Bellevue. Must be available to work predominantly Monday-Friday on second shift, on-site at various locations, with flexibility on weekends and holidays.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage employees at designated locations.
- Communicate job expectations, monitor, coach, develop, and train employees.
- Enforce policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Establish strategic goals by analyzing business, service, and operations data; identifying trends; setting objectives; and evaluating outcomes.
- Build and maintain employee morale, motivation, and loyalty.
- Oversee daily operations across all assigned locations.
- Manage budgeted hours versus worked hours; handle staffing needs, absences, turnover, and employee relocations.
- Continuously coach staff and share best practices.
- Monitor and control inventory levels within coverage areas.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License
- Proof of auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Minimum of 2 years management experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills and experience in coaching, mentoring, and training
- Proven leadership abilities
- Ability to manage priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with technology such as cell phones and computers
