Desktop Support Analyst

Description

We are seeking an IT Technical Analyst for our client in Norwalk, IA. This contract-to-hire role will serve as the primary onsite IT presence, providing hands-on technical support across office and manufacturing environments. The position also supports additional Iowa locations and works closely with remote IT leadership. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, high-demand manufacturing environment while managing day-to-day support, site visits, and communication across locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide on-site and remote IT support for office and manufacturing users

- Act as the primary IT contact for multiple Iowa locations, maintaining regular on-site presence

- Manage and resolve service requests and incidents through the ticketing system

- Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of end-user devices

- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and access issues with urgency and ownership

- Collaborate with IT managers and distributed teams to ensure consistent support

- Document issues, solutions, and follow established IT policies and procedures

Schedule & Travel

- Monday-Friday, 8-hour workday with a 1-hour break (7:00-4:00 or 8:00-5:00)

- Travel between Norwalk (hub), Lenox, and Britt, IA

Requirements

Technical Requirements

- Experience supporting users in a manufacturing or production environment

- Proficiency with O365, Active Directory, and SCCM

- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize independently

Qualifications

- 2+ years of IT support or technical analyst experience

- Technical degree, certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred

- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
