About Our Company
STAR, Inc., is a non‑profit located in Norwalk, CT that provides support services to adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities and their families. Through inclusion, independence, and freedom of choice, we help our clients become the fullest versions of themselves.
Responsibilities- Engage participants in community activities such as art classes, cooking, sporting events, and other chosen activities.
- Assist with feeding and personal needs of participants during on‑site day program activities.
- Drive a company vehicle to and from activities, and when necessary, to private family homes for pick‑ups or drop‑offs.
- Support participants throughout the day, ensuring they receive the support and enrichment they deserve.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Compassion and the ability to see potential in everyone.
- Positivity and a team‑player attitude.
Monday‑Friday: 35 hours/week. Paid lunch while supervising participants.
Salary$18.50 per hour.
