Regional Sales Manager – Drives
Reports to:
Head of Channel Sales
Responsible for achieving sales targets and growing ABB’s Market Share for Motion High Power products, emphasizing Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Packaged Variable Frequency Drives. Accelerate channel business in the region and lead cross‑regional initiatives.
Your role and responsibilities- Ensure the region’s pipeline is at least 5× the annual budget in qualified opportunities.
- Lead bi‑weekly sales meetings, quote and order reviews, and provide forecasting insights.
- Co‑lead planning and process initiatives with other RSMs, coordinate training, mentor and coach the team.
- Execute data‑driven sales process: CRM management, opportunity pipelines, multi‑horizon funnels, monthly forecasts, targeted pursuit strategies, and accurate proposals.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams for seamless handovers, represent ABB at industry events, and sell value‑based solutions.
- Analyze market trends, customers, competitors, industries, and country analyses; report to Product Group and Local Business Unit.
- Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels with key customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications for the role- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred with 10+ years of related business and product experience, or associate’s degree with 12+ years, or high school diploma with 14+ years.
- Solid understanding of ABB Low‑Voltage and Medium‑Voltage Packaged Drives or comparable products.
- Highly skilled at developing relationships from factory level to C‑level.
- In‑depth knowledge of the US High‑Power Motors and Drives market, customers, and competition.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM and other sales software.
- Prior leadership experience coaching and mentoring sales teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Must be able to travel 50–75% domestically and hold a valid US driver’s license.
- Work authorization to work in the US.
