Norwalk Hospital is a 366-bed academic and community medical center serving Fairfield County, Connecticut, and the surrounding New York Metro area. We are a Level II Trauma Center and Joint Replacement Center of Excellence, and we provide advanced cancer, heart, and neuroscience care.

Summary:

Maintain, clean and care for Hospital grounds, plants, lawns, gardens, trees, roofs, walks, driveways and parking areas.

Responsibilities:Inspects site daily; keeps walk areas swept clean and free of debris. Schedules maintenance to maintain and upgrade site appearance. Coordinates refuse removal. Cleans roof drains monthly.

Maintains plants, including pruning and trimming. Lawn maintenance. Cuts and trims lawns. Lawn maintenance. Performs seasonal work in a timely manner.

Removes snow and spreads salt. Snow removal. Coordinates the operation of all snow removal services. Snow removal. Coordinates maintenance staff for twenty-four hour coverage.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:
High school graduate some experience grounds care.
