Shifts:

-11PM and 11PM-7AM with alternating weekends.

Required:

High School Diploma/Equivalent.

To assist in providing a safe environment for assigned patients whose physical, neurological, or psychiatric condition puts them at risk for harm to self or others, the sitter maintains visual contact with patients at all times, remains within arm’s length, and does not leave the patient unattended.

• Keep visual contact with patients at all times, remaining within arm’s length and never leaving them unattended.
• Provide patient safety and comfort needs following RN direction, including feeding, toileting, ambulating, and cognitive stimulation.
• Maintain a calm and pleasant atmosphere, reassure patients, and re‑orient them to time, place, and situation as needed.
• Utilize the Safety APRN, Education staff, and unit staff when in doubt about best care practices.
• Monitor and record patient nutrition, behaviors, sleep, and other needs; report to RN immediately any changes in patient status.
• Accompany patients to all diagnostic tests.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and avoid over‑stimulation, providing quiet rest and sleep as needed.
• Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/Equivalent.
• Minimum 0 to 6 months of job‑related experience.
• Strong listening and comprehension skills.
• Ability to work with young, elderly, sick, and handicapped people.

Salary Range: $16.50 - $24.18 Hourly.
