Your Opportunity to Make an Impact
Ready to lead the end-to-end product innovation development pipeline across H2/H3 horizons, turning validated market needs into manufacturable products? As Senior Director Product Innovation & Development, you’ll oversee cross-functional teams to drive pioneering solutions from concept through commercialization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and customer expectations. WhatYou Will Do
- Own the integrated H1–H3 product and technology roadmap, with primary accountability for H2/H3 innovation feeding H1 delivery.
- Establish and manage portfolio OKRs and dashboards (cycle time, yield, cost/unit, launch adherence, customer outcomes).
- Define and enforce innovation‑to‑engineering transfer standards, including validated PRDs, technical feasibility, and business cases.
- Operate disciplined stage‑gate and risk‑management processes with documented decisions and mitigation plans.
- Own technical architecture, PRDs, and validation strategy, including requirements traceability, DFM/DFA, reliability, and launch readiness.
- Lead materials and mechanical system decisions (polymers, composites, coatings, adhesives, structures, durability, sustainability).
- Build technical capability and culture, coaching teams in hypothesis‑driven development, experiment rigor, technical communication, and growth mindset.
- MS (preferred) or BS in Materials Science, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering.
- 8-12+ years of experience.
- Deep experience and understanding in materials science and experimental development with a proven track record of bringing experiments to reality.
- Experience with digital printing/surface technologies relevant to home décor/flooring (awareness sufficient to align product needs to platform stewardship).
- Experience with portfolio tools, agile hardware practices, sustainability frameworks, and statistical methods.
- Deep experience in DFM/DFA, supplier collaboration, reliability/validation, and cost/performance trade‑offs.
- Demonstrated leadership in H1/H2/H3 planning and stage‑gate execution.
- Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm EST, with flexibility for occasional evening meetings or calls. - Work Environment:
Professional office setting. - Travel:
Some overnight travel may be required. - Physical Demands:
Mostly sedentary; repetitive hand and wrist motions; ability to lift, pull, or maneuver up to 25 lbs.
An employee’s pay position will be based on several factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, and business organizational needs.
