dhs-metropolitan state hospital is accepting applications for automotive equipment operator i vacancy in the general services/transportation department.
position is limited term for 12 months. This position may be terminated at any time or may become permanent at a later date

individuals who are eligible for a training and development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).

under the direction of the automotive pool manager ii or designee, the duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to operate and service passenger vehicles, trucks, small-wheeled tractors, and similar motor equipment; general laboring work; may instruct, lead or supervise wards or resident workers; operates, services, washes, and makes minor adjustments and repairs to passenger vehicles, trucks, small-wheeled tractors, and other automotive equipment;

transports passengers; loads, unloads, and delivers laundry, food, furniture, freight, farm products, gravel, rubbish, and other materials; performs miscellaneous manual laboring work and messenger service; keeps simple records, and other related work. This position is fast paced and requires a wide variety of assignments within a hospital setting. Applicants must possess commercial driver license a or b including passenger endorsement.
