LVN Treatment Nurse

Studebaker Healthcare Center, a 98-bed skilled nursing facility in Norwalk, California, is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled LVN Treatment Nurse to join our team. As a Treatment Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents by administering treatments and therapies as prescribed by their attending physicians.

• Assess residents' skin conditions and identify any skin problems or pressure ulcers
• Initiate treatment orders and ensure that all skin conditions have corresponding treatment plans
• Perform weekly skin assessments and submit findings to the Administrator, Director of Nursing, MDS Coordinator, Dietary Consultant, and Physical Therapist
• Document skin assessment findings and treatment orders on a weekly basis
• Notify attending physicians and Director of Nursing Services of any changes in a resident's skin condition or non-response to treatment
• Order medication and treatment from pharmacy as prescribed by the attending physician
• Consult with skin care consultant regarding special bed needs and monitor oxygen supply
• Review monthly charges before submission to Business Office and monitor equipment and supply usage
• Attend in-service classes, meetings, and seminars as required
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment cart and notify Director of Nursing Services of any skin problems that develop in the facility

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (LVN/LPN)
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of California
• Minimum of one year’s experience in a skilled nursing care facility
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Possess mental and physical health
