Otoki America is the U.S. subsidiary of Korea’s leading food company, Ottogi, established in 2005. We bring trusted Korean food products ranging from ramen and sauces to ready-to-eat meals to consumers across the United States.
As our organization continues to grow, we are strengthening our HR operations to ensure compliance, consistency, and employee support. We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Associate (Non-Exempt) to support day-to-day HR administration and shared services functions.
Position OverviewThe HR Associate is a non-exempt, operations-focused role responsible for high-volume, transactional, and time-based HR activities.
This position plays a critical role in supporting HR compliance, employee lifecycle administration, and internal service delivery, while enabling HR leadership to focus on strategic and exempt-level responsibilities.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking hands-on HR experience in a structured, compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities HR Administration & Shared Services- Process new hire paperwork, onboarding logistics, and employee file setup
- Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communications, and onboarding activities
- Manage offboarding processing and documentation
- Support benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance transactions
- Process 401(k) enrollment changes and related administrative tasks
- Track PTO, sick leave, probationary periods, anniversaries, and other time-based milestones
- Support payroll inputs related to overtime tracking, corrections, and audits
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Update headcount reports and organizational charts
- Perform data entry and maintain HR systems, spreadsheets, and trackers
- Respond to daily employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, time off, and documentation
- Route escalated issues to Manager as appropriate
- Assist with compliance documentation preparation
- Support internal audits and reporting
- Provide administrative support for HR projects as assigned
- 1–3 years of experience in HR administration, coordination, or office operations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage repetitive, deadline-driven, time-sensitive tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Bilingual in Korean and English
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, or benefits platforms
- Familiarity with California labor compliance concepts (PTO, sick leave, overtime)
- Experience in a fast-growing or multi-department environment
- Hourly Rate: $50,000 – $60,000 per hour (based on experience)
