Machine Operator

Job Description

This associate will operate a skid-steer to perform the nursery’s daily tasks, including loading/unloading plant material, loading mulch/loam, grading as needed, and maintaining the irrigation system. The role also requires daily skid-steer maintenance (grease, wash, clean, fuel), coordinating hand-watered areas, and ensuring the nursery remains neat and tidy.

• Operate skid-steer to load/unload plant material, mulch, loam, and grade beds
• Maintain skid-steer daily maintenance (grease, wash, clean, fuel)
• Maintain irrigation system and coordinate hand-watered areas
• Keep nursery neat and tidy

• 2-5 years operating a skid-steer in a nursery setting
• Knowledge of drip and overhead irrigation systems
• Plant identification skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Timely and dependable attendance; available weekdays and weekends
• Energetic, friendly, self-motivated
