Reid Supply (An Essentra Company) is a pure distribution business, specializing in the industrial parts and supplies sector, based in Norton Shores, West Michigan.
We are hiring a full-time Data Analyst to work at our Norton Shores, MI office. This is a hybrid role that will work onsite 3 days per week. We are considering local candidates only. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not being provided for this position.
Job DescriptionThe Data Analyst will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that support decision-making across product strategy, supply chain, and customer engagement. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, e-commerce platforms).
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across platforms.
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs related to sales, inventory, and customer behavior.
- Collect data from our ERP and CRM systems and look at trends in sales and product data such as quantities sold, product attributes, results of product launches, dimensions of a product, and how well products are selling
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support product strategy and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Operations) to provide data-driven recommendations.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company standards and best practices.
- Assist in forecasting demand and optimizing inventory levels using statistical models.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to automate data processes and improve reporting efficiency.
- Stay updated on best practices and emerging technologies in data analytics.
- College degree in data analytics, business, finance, statistics or similar major strongly preferred, along with at least 1 year of related data analysis work experience.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for data accuracy and process improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving, data interpretation, and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Excel is required, along with all MS Office applications.
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in industrial components distribution or manufacturing supply chains is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
