The Patient Care Technician facilitates the clinical staff-patient encounter by assisting with the clerical activities essential to the office visit. Helps the clinical staff maximize his/her clinical role improving patient flow and satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Specific Skills & Abilities
  • Two years of work experience in similar job or work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Assures completeness of the medical record by reviewing and gathering all relevant documents (i.e. laboratory results, radiology reports, correspondence from outside physicians, etc.) in preparation for the office visit.
  • Obtains vitals, reconciles medications and allergy list, documents depression score and completes falls risk assessment through patient interview and documents in EMR.
  • Maintains environment including disinfecting, stocking, etc.
  • Demonstrates a constant awareness of the clinical care environment readily responding to the needs of patients, families, physicians and other members of the team.
  • May be pulled to work at other CHC sites based on clinic and patient needs.
  • All other duties as assigned.
