Controls Engineer - Norton Shores Area

Salary Range: $84,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

• Develop, program, and maintain PLC and HMI/SCADA systems for manufacturing processes.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot industrial control systems and automation solutions.
• Provide technical support and resolve complex electrical and controls-related production issues.
• Create and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation.
• Lead the commissioning and startup of new automated equipment and production lines.
• Integrate robotic systems, vision systems, and other advanced automation technologies.
• Optimize existing control systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and product quality.

• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and industrial control systems.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA system design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Strong ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex automation and electrical issues.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet) and network architectures.
• Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics, P&, and functional specifications.

• Experience with industrial robotics programming and integration (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB).
• Proficiency in machine vision systems setup and programming (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
• Familiarity with database integration (SQL) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Knowledge of industrial network security best practices and protocols.
