Physical Therapy
Physical Therapist (PT) – Inpatient & Acute Units
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Holidays as needed
Must float between units
Patient Load: ~6 patients per day
Patient Populations: Geriatric, Neurological, Stroke, and Amputation
Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized plans of care.
Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Administer therapeutic interventions and patient education.
Complete all required documentation per departmental standards.
Provide care across inpatient and acute settings; float to other units as needed.
Education & CredentialsRequired:
Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT)
Current Alabama PT License (in good standing)
AHA or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred:
OT or SLP licenses in addition to PT
ExperienceRequired: 2 years of experience (will consider 18 months with supervision and 1 year in specialty area).
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong data analysis and treatment planning skills
Proficient in electronic documentation
Effective collaboration and communication abilities
Detail-oriented, dependable, and cooperative
Physically capable of prolonged activity (standing, walking, lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally)
Comfortable working in environments with exposure to bodily fluids or infection risks
Physical DemandsFrequent bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing
Heavy work classification (up to 100 lbs occasionally)
Must be able to perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodation
