Forklift Driver - Afternoon Shift

Fannie May in Northlake, Illinois, is looking for an experienced forklift operator to move packages and materials throughout the facility. This location is a freezer facility, so the temperatures are lower than a normal warehouse. This individual will need at least one year of experience in a warehouse and will operate stand‑up forklift, turrets, and reach trucks.

Shift: 2nd shift – 2:00 PM – 8:30 PM. Monday through Friday with overtime when needed.

• Responsible for ensuring proper quality standards are maintained, including all labels are appropriate and that all products are selected as accurately and efficiently as possible.
• Operate certain machinery; forklifts, stand forklifts, pallet jacks.
• Move all required materials to the correct department within the warehouse.
• Required to perform all duties in accordance with company safety guidelines listed in the company handbook.
• Expected to work safely, and efficiently.
• Responsible for line sanitation and ensuring proper clean up at the end of the shift.
• Participate in on‑going training to enhance knowledge and skills.

Education or Experience

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of basic arithmetic, reading level to understand instructions, policies, and procedures.

Physical

• Lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing for extended periods, frequently repeated manual tasks.
• Ability to work in cold environment (45 °F).

Computer Skills

• Basic computer entry for inventory control purposes.

The base hourly rate for this position is $20.50 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
