Our client, a leader in global cloud infrastructure and data center operations, is seeking a Data Center Operations / Service Delivery Specialist to join their team.
Job Title:Data Center Operations / Service Delivery Specialist
Location:Northlake, IL - Onsite
Type:Contract
What’s the Job?Responsibilities include:
- Manage and coordinate small-to-medium data center infrastructure and hardware deployment projects from initiation through completion.
- Serve as the primary operations point of contact throughout design, construction, commissioning, and turnover phases.
- Conduct CE audits, compliance reviews, and site readiness walks (L2–L4, Post‑IST, turnover).
- Drive operational issue resolution, warranty/defect tracking, and adherence to Plan of Record (POR).
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, logistics, and SME teams to ensure seamless delivery of data center equipment and services.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (Required).
- 5+ years’ experience in technical fields such as electrical, mechanical, controls, automotive, or data center operations.
- OSHA or OSHA‑approved NFPA 70E certification (Required).
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including rotating or extended shifts as needed.
