PositionThe Sales Account Manager is a field-based healthcare sales role focused on building relationships with primary care physicians and healthcare providers, identifying new business opportunities, and presenting Rocky Mountain Laboratories’ diagnostic services to potential clients.
This position is ideal for candidates with outside sales, B2B sales, or door-to-door sales experience who are comfortable prospecting, presenting, and closing new business independently.
This is not a remote or inbound sales role.
DescriptionFull-time, W2, field-based position covering the Las Vegas metro area.
Schedule- Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m
- Semi-flexible based on client and territory needs
- Develop and execute a territory-specific sales strategy to grow business within the Northern Denver metro area
- Proactively identify and secure new clients, with an emphasis on primary care practices, mobile physicians, and geriatric care providers
- Generate self-sourced leads through in-person visits, cold calling, direct outreach, and relationship-building (not inbound sales)
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, presentations, negotiations, and closing
- Deliver tailored presentations and service overviews to clinicians, practice managers, and healthcare executives
- Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline data, and client notes using a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce)
- Collaborate with internal operations, onboarding, and client support teams to ensure smooth implementation
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes impacting diagnostic services
- Conduct frequent onsite visits and local travel within assigned territory
- Maintain long-term client relationships to support retention and account growth
- Support outreach campaigns, marketing initiatives, and promotional events
- Represent Rocky Mountain Laboratories professionally within the healthcare community
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Demonstrated ability to generate and close self-sourced leads without relying on inbound interest
- Minimum 2 years of recent, hands-on field sales experience actively prospecting and closing business
- Experience in B2B, outside sales, or direct sales environments
- Strong organizational skills and comfort using digital tools for scheduling, outreach, and reporting
- Ability to work independently and manage a geographic sales territory
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a consultative sales approach
- Experience using CRMs, Google Workspace, and basic reporting tools
- Willingness to travel locally within the Northern Denver metro area multiple days per week
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Healthcare, medical, or diagnostic sales experience
- Knowledge of molecular diagnostics, toxicology testing, or clinical laboratory services
- Familiarity with CLIA and FDA regulatory environments
- Experience selling to physician offices, SNFs, mobile medical groups, or geriatric providers
- Strong drive for results, persistence, and the ability to thrive in a competitive sales environmen
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred but not required
Full-time, W2
Salary- Base salary: $75,000 annually for the first 3 months, then $55,000 annually
- Sales Account Managers are expected to be on track within 6 months to earn six figures in their first year through performance-based bonuses
- Bonus structure details provided by the hiring manager
- Up to $650/month for fuel, mileage, and phone reimbursement
