Position SummaryPosition assists investigators as coordinator of clinical research studies in the ICU; may be responsible for multiple research studies simultaneously, acting as a liaison with the division, sponsoring agency, community and the study participants; responsible for managing and recording all phases of study protocol as required by sponsoring agencies to ensure compliance.
Job Description PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Implements and manages all phases of study protocol; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and regulatory agencies; establishes record-keeping systems; makes assessments and determinations of participants’ progress; analyzes adverse events; decides when to notify physicians; recommends protocol adjustments; serves as liaison with sponsoring agencies.
- Recruits and enrolls study participants; determines eligibility based on diagnostic criteria; develops informed consent packets; explains procedures and treatment plans; administers and scores tests; evaluates all lab and clinical assessments in a timely manner.
- Ensures timely completion of all protocol requirements; schedules and facilitates participants’ protocol procedures; interprets collected clinical data; prepares oral or written reports and analyses; provides recommendations or conclusions.
- Collects clinical data under clinical research protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
