Position Summary
:
This Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (PA) position is eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus and $5,000 relocation reimbursement. In addition, hires are eligible for additional compensation bonuses tied to productivity and retention.
Position Details:
- Full-time (average 40 hours per week).
- Schedule consists of an average of 3, 12-13 hour shifts per week to include up to 50% nights, weekends, holidays, and paid call.
- Flexible scheduling options may be available, including weekend and/or night shift-only options with additional incentives.
- Eligibility for a recurring retention bonus given after 12 months of employment and every 2 years thereafter.
- Monthly bonus (including productivity and shift differential).
- Annual bonus.
- Referral bonus.
The advanced practice provider (PA) will be employed by the Department of Anesthesiology within WashU Medicine, a top-ranked medical school in the country. The PA will work at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a nationally recognized Magnet center and ranked among the nation’s best hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, and/or affiliated BJC community hospitals, and telemedicine.
Opportunities include cardiothoracic ICU, surgical/burn/trauma ICU, combined medical/surgical ICUs, and telemedicine.

Responsibilities include obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, participating in inter-professional rounds, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, designing and implementing plans of care, and performing invasive procedures.

Work Experience
:
No specific work experience is required for this position.
- Critical care experience.
- Experience with devices commonly utilized in cardiothoracic surgery patient population (for CTICU positions).
