Reporting to the Commercial Sales Senior Manager you will be part of a small but strong, friendly and experienced team. This is a field based position working in the designated region. You may from time to time be called to operate beyond this region. (More information on the territory is available upon request.)
Your primary focus will be supporting practices by raising awareness of our services and through education, empowering vets to feel confident in prescribing under the cascade.
Core Responsibilities- Proactively analyse the region’s veterinary practice and key account profiles to identify potential opportunities for customer account development and growth.
- Professionally promote the service offered by Summit and our brand values in order to enhance our presence and grow the customer base regionally.
- Develop and manage the regional key account relationships, existing customer relationships and build relationships with KOLs, key decision makers and influencers.
- Organise/support local CPD/conferences when appropriate to allow engagement with practices in the region.
- Contribute to and implement strategies for regional business development.
- Implement customer focussed and collaborative call activity (in person/virtual).
- Develop and maintain customer profiles, keeping accurate records of all activity in the field.
- Establish and maintain long term customer focussed relationships, identifying customer needs and opportunities to add value.
- Work to develop a strong understanding of those needs, meeting them with minimal effort and adapting strategy to individual customers and situations.
- Work collaboratively with team members across the business to deliver the highest quality service, with the aim of continuous improvement in customer outcomes.
- Collate customer feedback and opportunities, contributing to improvement planning including informing product development and operational planning.
- Travel regularly to industry trade shows and events as required to promote the company interests and enhance the brand profile.
- Provide input to customer communications and marketing support materials to ensure our value and positioning is well supported.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the product portfolio and the wider market.
- Operate within full compliance of all relevant regulation, internal SOPs and quality standards.
- Remain familiar with the company’s responsibilities in relation to pharmacovigilance, ensuring any information received concerning safety, efficacy or suspected adverse events is reported to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
- Maintain excellent applied knowledge of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations, the Prescribing Cascade and all related regulations, guidelines and codes of conduct.
- Plan and prioritise own work diary.
- Manage and justify expenditure for field activities, feeding back relevant information to measure and improve effectiveness.
- All other duties as requested by management.
Credibility and educational skills within the industry.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, maintained in a fast-paced environment.
Logical approach to problem solving and ability to deliver satisfactory outcomes for complex enquiries.
Ability to maintain an independent schedule with little or no supervision.
A Science or Veterinary/Veterinary Nursing related degree would be advantageous e.g. Animal Science, Bioscience, Equine Science, as well as territory management experience in the companion animal and/or equine sector.
NCAH and/or RAMA qualification advantageous but not essential.
