Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Plumbing Excavator to oversee and execute a variety of excavation tasks with a primary focus on plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in service plumbing, diagnostics, and customer service. This role demands precision, leadership, and a practical mindset, as well as the physical ability to handle the demands of excavation work.
The goal is to efficiently install, repair, and maintain underground systems responsible for transporting water, waste, gases, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage sewer replacement projects, ensuring timely and high-quality completion
- Install and modify overhead sewer systems to meet customer and regulatory standards
- Perform repairs and cleanouts on catch basins with precision and attention to detail
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes, ensuring proper integration with existing infrastructure
- Operate excavation equipment, including tractors, to prepare and complete job sites
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless execution of projects and exceptional customer satisfaction
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and building codes throughout all projects
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in plumbing and excavation.
- Demonstrated expertise as an Excavation Lead or in a similar leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of water distribution and disposal systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Proficiency in operating plumbing tools and equipment (e.g., pipe wrenches, cutters, plungers).
- Experience and skill in operating excavation machinery, including tractors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and interact with clients.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a focus on patience and problem-solving.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in confined or awkward spaces as required.
