About This RoleAt the core of Compass we believe in the power of community and connection, which is why we are committed to our group-based programming. As a group therapist, you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidenced based groups using modalities like CBT, DBT, and ACT. We are seeking new and experienced clinicians with a passion for delivering dynamic and informative groups for our patients.

- Providing group therapy to patients in a safe and therapeutic milieu
- Assessing patients on daily basis for safety, ADLs, and mental status
- Developing effective therapeutic group relationships that promote positive change in patients
- Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to inform facilitation of group therapy sessions
- Relaying relevant clinical information from group sessions to treatment team during rounds and as needed
- Providing safety checks with safety plan as needed
- Developing creative program material and curriculum and adjusting group therapy content, as needed, to fit group needs
- Organizing and maintaining clinical group material to provide structure to curriculum
- Tracking frequency of skills taught in program to ensure full breadth of CBT/DBT skills are provided
- Documenting therapeutic processes, as well as all other relevant clinical information
- Communicating patient progress, interaction and presentation to clinical staff
- Completing discharges for patients discharging from the intensive outpatient program
- Creating and updating treatment plans
- Other duties, as assigned
- Have one year post master’s experience (preferred)
- Hold the following licenses or education: LSW (or LSW eligible), LPC (or LPC eligible), LCSW, or LCPC
- Possess a core skill set of CBT, DBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing skills
- Have prior experience working in crisis environment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting (preferred, not required)
- Have prior experience treating:
Depression/Mood disorders, Anxiety disorders
$47,000 - $65,000 USD

Compass fills a critical gap between outpatient and inpatient care through an intermediate level of Behavioral Healthcare.
