Tax Support Specialist

We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Tax Support Specialist to join our team in Northbrook for the upcoming tax season. This is a high-impact, technical support and preparation role designed for someone who doesn't just "know" tax software but thrives in the ecosystem of Quick Books and Ultra Tax.

• Experience:
  
  2+ years of professional experience in a tax support or accounting role.
• Software Mastery (Mandatory):
  Extensive, hands-on experience with Ultra Tax CS and Quick Books (Desktop and Online). Candidates without this specific software background will not be considered.
• Technical Savvy:
  Ability to manage "bridge" software, data imports, and complex Excel work papers.
• Education:
  
  Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Soft Skills:
  
  Organizational skills and the ability to handle the "pressure-cooker" environment of tax season with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

salary: $27 - $32 per hour

• Tax Preparation & Review:Preparing, reviewing, and filing, individual and corporate income tax returns, as well as handling state and local sales tax issues.
• Compliance & Research:Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, conducting tax research, and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Client Advisory:Offering tax planning strategies for current and future years to minimize tax liability.
• Data Analysis & Documentation:Analyzing financial data for accuracy and maintaining organized client tax documentation.
• Technical Proficiency:Utilizing tax software, Ultra Tax & Quick Books desktop and online versions for efficient data entry and processing.
