Aboutthe Role
As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will play a critical role in driving financial accuracy and operational insight across our client's manufacturing and supply chain operations. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams, leverage advanced ERP systems, and provide actionable analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities- Standard Costing: Manage and maintain standard costs for components and finished goods, including bill of materials, labor, and overhead across multiple manufacturing and warehouse locations.
- Inventory Accounting: Oversee complex inventory transactions, reconciliations, and reporting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Ensure accuracy of inventory valuation and support cycle counts.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze and explain price, production, and usage variances. Partner with operations and supply chain to resolve discrepancies and drive process improvements.
- ERP & Systems Integration: Support and troubleshoot costing processes within advanced ERP environments. Participate in system upgrades and new warehouse integrations.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to inventory and costing processes. Develop and document SOPs for new and existing workflows.
- Presentation & Communication: Deliver A+ presentations and communicate complex financial information clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent presentation and strong communication skills
- Manufacturing cost accounting background (5+ years)
- Experience with large ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, Great Plains, or Microsoft Dynamics)
- Experience in a large organization (preferably publicly traded)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s, CPA, or CMA preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills; experience consolidating and analyzing large data sets
$95,000-$120,000 + annual discretionary bonus (based on company and individual performance) + full benefits
