Responsibilities
- Use the established product vision with deep market insight to inform product strategy.
- Evaluate market needs against UL’s and competitors’ unique capabilities to address them.
- Support and contribute to a go‑to‑market strategy, describing how value will be delivered to customers, how the product is differentiated, and what the business model should be.
- Prioritize product functions and features into a product roadmap.
- Monitor a set of product goals, outcomes and corresponding metrics to continually evaluate performance.
- Evangelize and communicate the product vision, strategy and goals internally across the organization and externally with client users.
- Actively model and promote behaviors aligned with UL’s Way of Working.
- Take ownership of own career and professional development by documenting and communicating career aspirations and needs to their manager.
- Support career development of direct reports by defining expectations, soliciting aspirations, and helping close gaps.
- Assist in the efficient cross‑functional matrix structure that enables effective product development lifecycle.
- Execute robust processes to power all parts of the product development lifecycle from research/discovery to release management and product support.
- Leverage a standard set of product management tools used across the product organization at each stage of the lifecycle.
- University degree (Bachelor's equivalent) in Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of related discipline experience or demonstrated competency.
- Knowledge of how Conformity Assessment schemes influence product go‑to‑market.
- Significant knowledge of Conformity Assessment testing practices and processes.
- Understanding of Global Market Access processes and practices.
- Experience working with remote and globally distributed teams highly preferred.
- Project and/or Product management certification a plus.
- Ability to lead small to medium groups of internal and external stakeholders toward desired outcomes to meet business objectives.
- Ability to conduct discovery sessions with clients, prospects, and stakeholders to diagnose business opportunities and elicit requirements.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with product management tools (e.g., Invision, Zeplin, Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Aha!, Daptiv, AI tools).
- Formal training and/or certification in Product Management a plus.
Estimated salary range: $120,000 – $150,000, with annual bonus compensation target of 20% of base salary. Health, dental, vision, wellness, retirement (401K) and paid time off (15 vacation days, 12 floating holidays, 72 hours sick time) are provided. The position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. Full‑time employment in the U.S. @ $120,000‑$150,000.
