Northbrook Public Library – Facilities Assistant Substitute
Part‑time Substitute.
Schedule:
No set schedule; shifts typically nights and weekends.
We are seeking a detailed‑oriented individual to join our team as a Facilities Assistant Substitute. The ideal candidate will have solid computer and customer service skills, be comfortable relating to a diverse group of people and be able to work accurately in a changing environment with frequent interruptions.
DutiesResponsible for performing building maintenance, repairs, and cleaning to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for staff and patrons. Key responsibilities include managing maintenance tasks, setting up meeting spaces, and utilizing an online ticketing system to track issues. The role requires effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
Qualifications and Experience- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer skills
- Customer service experience
- Communication skills and a positive outlook
