Job Description – Accounts Payable Specialist Position Overview

A corporate finance team is seeking a highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high‑volume AP department. This role is ideal for someone who has strong AP process knowledge, experience managing large invoice loads, and thrives in a fast‑moving, detail‑focused environment. After completing initial onsite training, the position transitions into a hybrid schedule.

• Accounts Payable Workflow Management
  The Accounts Payable Specialist will review and manage the AP cycle, including invoice routing, approval tracking, statement review, and issue resolution.

• Invoice Processing & Matching
  Perform accurate 2‑way and 3‑way matching, resolve discrepancies, and reconcile vendor statements to ensure complete and timely processing.

• Vendor Communication
  Resolve invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and vendor account issues; follow up on past‑due balances and maintain positive relationships.

• Daily AP Workflow Support
  Respond to inquiries within 24 hours, participate in peer review, and support ongoing process improvements.

• System Utilization
  Use Oracle, SAP S/4
  
  HANA, Outlook, and AP inbox systems to process and route invoices, manage approvals, and track outstanding issues.

Required:

• Experience with high‑volume invoice processing
• Problem‑solving ability and comfort asking questions when needed
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Basic Excel proficiency

Preferred:

• Experience with Oracle or SAP S/4

• Experience supporting international vendors (UK, Canada)
