Staff Accountant
Position: Staff Accountant
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Hybrid (3+ days onsite; flexible for contractors)
Hours: Standard business hours
We are seeking an experienced Senior AR Specialist to provide critical support within a specialized AR and forward contract environment. This role requires a strong background in SAP (S/4
HANA preferred), AR processes, GL reconciliation, and handling exception-based workflows.
The team is undergoing automation transformation, but significant AR and general ledger work still requires hands-on expertise. You will be stepping into a high-impact role that supports essential operations, especially during month-end close.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable & Forward Contracts- Run weekly forward contract processes in SAP, including managing exceptions when automation cannot handle them.
- Monitor shared inboxes for AR and forward contract communications.
- Pull customer statements and reports as needed.
- Perform cash application tasks and assist with AR inquiries.
- Complete GL reconciliations related to AR accounts.
- Support monthly close activities, with heavier workload during the first five days of each month.
Must Have:
- Several years of SAP experience (S/4
HANA strongly preferred) - Strong Accounts Receivable background
- Experience with forward contracts, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with GL reconciliations, reporting, and cash application
- Comfort working with exceptions, ambiguity, and process variances
Nice to Have:
- Broader general accounting experience
- Strong Excel skills
- SAP configuration knowledge
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable navigating non‑standard processes
- Collaborative and communicative—comfortable working in a small, stable, team-oriented environment
