We are The Dolins Group, and we are seeking additional tax whizzes who want to collaborate with interesting work in a growing firm known for its family atmosphere! We are a mid-size rapidly growing CPA firm providing large-firm expertise to diverse clients in a family-feel approachable manner that sincerely appreciates its staff. We are a casual, fast-paced, excellence-driven full-service CPA firm located in Northbrook, Illinois.
We specialize in tax preparations for individuals and companies.
We are looking for an experienced Per Diem Accountant to support our team during the upcoming tax season. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented tax professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is available for at least 15-20 hours per week during tax season. The selected individual will assist with tax preparation, and general accounting tasks to ensure timely and accurate client filings.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, trust and estate tax returns
- Perform year end accounting duties, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Communicate with internal staff to resolve discrepancies and meet deadlines
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
- CPA designation or active CPA candidate (preferred)
- Minimum 4 years of public accounting and/or tax preparation experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws and filing requirements
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (Ultra Tax, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($40-$90/hr)
