EyePoint is a science‑based, entrepreneurial company dedicated to improving the lives of patients with serious retinal diseases. We are seeking a motivated Process Engineer to join our team in Northbridge, MA. The role focuses on sustaining and improving processes for component, device and packaging projects, with continuous improvement, testing, data analysis and report writing to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Responsibilities- Identify and oversee engineering projects to continuously review and revise production processes, enhancing quality, yield and efficiency.
- Lead project planning and improvements to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
- Coordinate and communicate engineering activities with product vendors, suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
- Design, develop, and optimize processes, including upstream and downstream operations.
- Troubleshoot process‑related issues, contribute to quality investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Create, customize, and implement tooling and fixturing to increase manufacturing efficiencies and product quality.
- Identify process development initiatives, write protocols, and produce validation reports.
- Work with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations to maintain process sustaining activities and deliver against project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
- Excellent mathematical and statistical abilities for data gathering and optimal output calculations.
- Proficiency with equipment, facilities, and process validations.
- Analytical skills to analyze process steps and seek optimization.
- Mechanical skills to oversee equipment used in production.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Strong commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
- Proficiency with cGMP regulations and quality management systems.
- Experience in life sciences, medical devices, or regulated industry is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
- Proactive and creative problem solver who is highly organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent listening and communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Ability to contribute to development of project timelines and complete tasks within agreed resources and timelines.
- Adaptability, resiliency, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced organization.
- Ability to influence and drive organizational success.
- Exceptional project management skills; proficiency in tracking processes and projects.
- Willingness to collaborate cross‑functionally and build relationships.
Target salary range:
USD $84,490.00–$ /yr
