Note:
Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and is determined by employment status
- Assist physician with the daily operations of the physician office
- Maintain efficient patient flow and assist with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physician
- Perform triage, monitor and record vitals of all visiting patients
- Perform EKG and Phlebotomy, as applicable
- Ensure medical documentation of office visits
- Ensure that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner
Sign-on Bonus: $3,000 for new hires.
Education / Experience- Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required:
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR three (3) years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program - At least one year of experience in a Medical Setting, preferably in a Physician Practice
- EMR/EHR experience preferred;
Next Gen or Athena experience preferred - Proficiency in a Windows environment with a working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and the Internet
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and employees
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a complex, matrix environment
- Required:
Certified Medical Assistant through one of the following:
National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) - Will allow 90 days to obtain certification
- Required:
Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
