Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Northborough, Massachusetts. This role involves managing trust accounts, performing detailed reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. If you have a strong background in accounting and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and update trust accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Perform annual accounting tasks and format probate-related financial records.

- Review and reconcile disbursements, including additions and deletions.

- Prepare and analyze monthly broker statements across multiple accounts.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain spreadsheets with complex formulas.

- Track and update stuck rates for financial accounts.

- Compare prior-year accounts with current-year data for consistency.

- Maintain detailed records for approximately 50 accounts, ensuring all data is up-to-date.

- Generate reports and summaries to support financial decision-making.

- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formula creation and spreadsheet management.

- Experience with trust account management and financial reconciliation.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Familiarity with accounting principles, including annual reporting and probate formatting.

- Ability to manage and organize data across multiple accounts.

- Previous experience handling large-scale financial records and broker statements.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and team members.
