Job Title: Softball Coach

FLSA Status: Exempt - Stipend

Reports to: Assistant Principal/AD

The coaching position would be a commitment from March 22 - May 30. Duties included are: scheduling practices, daily practice plans, emailing parents and families, distribution and collection of medical forms, equipment management, uniform distribution, supervising games and transportation to games.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Coaching experience required
• Ability to organize game and practice plans
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

DESIRED

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Supervision of students before, during, and after games
• Provide practice plans, structured drills, and meaningful feedback
• Weekly communication with parent/guardian
• Preparing the fields
• Communicate with Athletic Director/Principal
• Reporting injuries to Athletic Director and nurse
• Punctual and professional

Work Environment: Work is generally performed after the school day, however there are some occasions that meetings will occur during the day.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the coach is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, talk, and hear. The coach is regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch and/or kneel. The coach is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Must have sufficient mobility to navigate within a large school building.
