Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Northborough, Massachusetts. This position involves preparing individual tax returns and contributing to various specialized projects. If you are detail-oriented and experienced in tax preparation, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review individual tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.

- Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to complete tax filings efficiently.

- Collaborate with the team to manage specialized tax-related projects.

- Ensure compliance with current tax regulations and standards.

- Maintain organized and accurate financial records related to tax preparation.

- Assist clients with their tax-related inquiries and provide guidance as needed.

- Identify opportunities for tax savings and advise clients accordingly.

- Conduct thorough reviews of client documents to verify accuracy and completeness.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and integrate them into the preparation process. Requirements - Proven experience in preparing individual tax returns.

- Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software or similar programs.

- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

- Strong communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.

- Familiarity with specialized tax projects is a plus.

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
