Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our night shift team in a dynamic metal fabrication environment. This position plays a key role in the production of heavy mining equipment by ensuring parts and assemblies are accurately fitted, welded, and finished to meet safety, durability, and quality requirements. The successful candidate will bring hands‑on experience in welding and mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or fabrication setting.

This role requires the ability to work independently during evening hours while maintaining high standards of precision, productivity, and safety.

• Assemble parts and subassemblies to produce finished components
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions
• Align and position components manually or using lifting equipment such as hoists
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to complete assemblies
• Perform quality checks to ensure components meet specifications
• Conduct pre‑operation inspections and maintain tools and equipment
• Prepare work by reviewing parts lists and gathering required materials and tools
• Measure and verify completed assemblies for accuracy and fit
• Maintain a positive, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented attitude
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Collaborate effectively as part of a team while working independently

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in manufacturing or mechanical assembly
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and workplace safety
• Experience using mechanical tools and precision measuring equipment
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
• Well‑organized with strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Capable of lifting up to 22 kg (50 lbs)
• Able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Post‑secondary education or training in a related field is considered an asset
