Salary and Benefits

Pay at Broker Link is about more than salary.

Salary range (not limited to): 45,200 - 55,200. The final salary will be determined taking into consideration experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, location, etc. This range is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

Incentives

Incentive plan:
Commissions & other performance incentives are expected, with an (subject to personal and team performance) payout potential of 10-15% of salary. We share our success with employees through incentive programs and an Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) – with Broker Link matching a portion of your contributions. Our Group RRSP, with DPSP offerings provide flexibility and long-term security for our employees beyond their careers.

About The Role

The Role

We are looking for a Personal Insurance Advisor to join our growing team.

What You’ll Do Here
  • Service ongoing client needs, advise on insurance matters, conduct needs assessment, recommend solutions, answer inquiries, conduct care calls and process renewals
  • Sell new policies/write new business to existing or new clients, retain existing book of business
  • Quote new business through outbound call initiatives, introductory letters and receive walk-in clients
  • Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy
  • Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes and review renewals
  • Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  • Actively participate in training initiatives
  • Participate in community marketing initiatives
What You Bring To The Table
  • High School and/or Post-Secondary Education
  • Previous insurance experience preferred, but not required
  • Exposure to Epic is an asset
  • Strong customer focus
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
