Job Title: Professor (Part-Time) – Math Applications and Indigenous Knowledge

Location: College Drive Campus – North Bay, ON

Contract Duration: January 12 – April 17, 2026

The following teaching need is required for in-class delivery at the College Drive Campus:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Math; relevant Master’s Degree preferred
  • The incumbent has lived experience as a First Nation, Métis, or Inuit person considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to apply mental math, paper-and-pencil algorithms and technology and tools (e.g. drawings, calculators) to teach math fundamentals of whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ration, rate and proportion, percent, measurement, algebra, statistics and probability, and rational numbers
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous student success strategies and culturally responsive approaches to supporting Indigenous learners in preparatory or foundational programs
  • Teaching experience or equivalent, preferably in a college setting is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a postsecondary setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of educational technologies; experience in the development and delivery of the blended and online curriculum is considered an asset
  • Highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • In-person, on-campus position. Must be able to reliably commute to North Bay, ON

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate effective learning related to the course
  • Work closely with students and colleagues to provide an optimal learning environment
  • Perform all responsibilities associated with the learning environment including preparation, delivery, and evaluation of theory and practical learning activities
